The transmitter is small enough to be called "bug" yet sophisticated compared to average junk FM bugs offered elsewhere. Tune 1000 unique frequencies from 140.00 ton 149.99 MHz, on power up the transmitter set the same state as it was before turned off. More than one mile range in clear, note that RF power is few times of any other battery operated transmitter offered on ebay- no other transmitter can compete in range and audio clarity! How to store new frequency: Format 14XX.X push button and keep holding for 3 seconds till the LED turns off, click shortly 0- 9 times, each short push adds 1MHz, push long till the LED goes off, push again 0-9 times- each push adds 0.1 MHz , push long till LED goes off, push short 0-9 times, each push adds 10kHz, push 3s long to store new

For best range clip stripped wire, AC or USB cord to alligator, minimum length 1/4wave-one inch. Form dipole by connecting charger and wire. Because of wide frequency selection I can't tell what length is best,if you're too lazy or have no time to calculate proper antenna length connect any conductor at least 6" long and you'll still cover at least 300ft radius in open.
The transmitter has built in LCD driver, set frequency, RF power and modulation level using LCD and buttons
LCD is used for set up only, do not use the transmitter with LCD attached, it may cause noise and increase current consumption
SET UP: >> connect LCD and transmitter together then toggle on-off switch to refresh LCD
Push any button to enter setup mode
move blinking cursor with a right button, change values with a left button. Unplug LCD when you're done.
There are 3 timers:
NFM XXsYYs Mi T0
XX and YY used to periodically turn the transmitter on and off, 1s to 99minutes standby and up to 99 seconds TX, for continues operation set XX s 00, any value for YY. T0-T9 -up to 9 hours sleep mode, sleep time stored in EEPROM, sleep mode starts as soon as battery inserted. Set T0 for instant on.
Modes:
Mi - microphone
1K - series of 1kHz beeps at rate 3 Hz, useful for tracking
Un - unmodulated carrier, microphone switched OFF.
Standby current 0.2mA
Add $12 to include optional Backlit LCD.
Program multiple transmitters using single LCD.
